Briana + Todd | Orange County Maternity Session

These two will be parents in 1 month! Eek! Bri and I went to elementary, junior high, and high school together, we were maids of honor in each others' wedding, and now I can't wait to see her become a mom alongside the love of her life.

As a natural light maternity photographer in Orange County, I LOVE finding new locations with pretty golden light that filters through fluttering leaves. Our shoot was later in the afternoon when the sun is lower in the sky, and it felt like a fairytale. I love the way they looked so sweetly at each other, and the little spark that was in their eyes.

Abby's 6 Year Cancerversary

Abby and me when we first met, 5 years ago.

I met Abby 5 years ago on a trip with the St. Baldrick's Foundation to film a video about her and that C-word, cancer, that came storming into her life. This girl stole my heart, and has had it ever since. I'll share more about her story and journey with childhood cancer in an upcoming post, but for now, I wanted to invite you all to CELEBRATE today with Abby.

Today is her 6 year cancerversary!

6 years ago, Abby and her family heard the words, "you have cancer," but today, she's here. She's smiling, laughing, playing with her sisters Maggie and Emily, defying the odds and stealing hearts.

Abby's mom, Patty, is running a fundraiser today with the St. Baldrick's Foundation in honor of her special day, and is asking friends to give $6 in honor of her six years. Will you do me a favor today? Will you give and share this post with your friends, asking them to do the same?

Whether you give $6, $60 or $600 (hey-oh!), every single dollar will go to funding the very best childhood cancer research to help kids just like Abby.

2017 Sweetheart Mini Sessions in Orange, California

As an Orange County lifestyle photographer, I just love love. Whether you're a dating or engaged couple madly in love, or a married couple with that deep, soulful love, your relationship and these precious moments and stages in your life are worth documenting.

These will take place AFTER Valentine's Day so you can surprise your sweetie with this session as a Valentine's Day gift, and then have the fun experience together with just the two of you (well, and me behind the camera :) ). I recommend you make a fun date day/night of it - get ready together, play some fun music on the drive over, then grab coffee or dinner after - you'll be all done up, after all!

Haylen | Orange County Senior Photographer

Haylen was seriously the cutest senior. She showed up to my mentor session with Katie of A Simple Story Photography, and strutted her stuff in her romper and long, curly hair. The Griffiths | Inland Empire Christmas Photo Session

I am so utterly in love with these photos. I literally can't pull my eyes away from them and these pretty pops of red have certainly got me in the Christmas spirit. I love when clients incorporate the colors of the seasons into their outfits for their photo sessions, and the Griffiths certainly hit perfection in this category. I loved their mix of red with various patterns and textures, and their little girl's tights with little sparkly shoes... I die. She looked like an adorable, sassy little doll <3 :)

For their Christmas photo session, we picked a woodsy park in the Inland Empire with lots of gorgeous natural light, and it was perfect.

When Erin and Jon saw their photos for the first time they said, "Oh. My Gosh!!!! We are dying over here Kristen!!! Absolutely incredible!!! Our hearts are so happy! You captured our sweet baby girl & us so amazingly! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!"

This is exactly why I am a lifestyle family photographer. I LOVE to create experiences that make families fall in love with each other all over again. It reminds you that there truly are some beautiful, lovely things in this world that are worth fighting for <3
