Wyatt Turns One | 1 Year Cake Smash Session

This little guy was SO smiley this morning! I've known him since he was born, and it's been so amazing to watch him grow over his first year of life. You've got some amazing parents, little dude, and I know you're going to have so much fun in your years ahead. We had a great time with his one year photo session, complete with a cake smash, of course!

Chea Family | Orange County Fall Mini Session

,

From our first hello, I could tell this family was filled with so much love. Jenny, you had such a warmth about you and it was so very clear at your fall session that your kids and husband love you very much!

Mini sessions are often perfect for younger kiddos, because they're long enough to get the shots we need, but not too long where we end in total meltdown. The little one from this session did great, and definitely wanted just cuddle time with mommy towards the end. In any case, we were able to get beautiful pictures in a short amount of time... perfect. So not to fear mommas, I can make some magic even if your littles last just a few minutes!

And their outfits... so great! I love when families choose one main color and then have everyone wear various shades of that color along with some neutrals. I love the different shades of blue paired with greys and tans. And the little guy's shoes... they're baby Toms! Ahh! Who doesn't love Toms?

The Valero Family | La Verne Fall Mini Session

Sheena and I met while working for the St. Baldrick's Foundation to help raise money for childhood cancer research. I was able to witness the journey of her first pregnancy with this little guy, Evan, and it was so very special to now see her with her second pregnancy and just be a part of such a special time for this family.

For their mini session, we played out in a pretty field and chased after the light. I love that she brought cute little pumpkins and signs to make her session unique. And their outfits.... aren't they just the cutest?! The scarf, the puffy little vest, ahh... all the heart eyes :)

Love these sweet words Sheena sent me after she saw her pretty photos: "Kristen is one of the best photographers we've had the pleasure to work with. She's not only amazing behind the lens, she's also sweet, patient, warm and friendly - she made our whole maternity shoot such a fun and easy experience. My husband and I were happy she was able to capture such great photos of our active 4-year-old and us as a family. Our son enjoyed posing for her and wanted to be in every shot! :) All the pictures turned out beautifully. We were so blessed that she helped us capture this moment in our lives and look forward to working with her again in the future!"

Ryder | Sweet Nectar Society

This little guy's got style!

It was such an honor to photograph Ryder and his family for the Sweet Nectar Society at Peltzer Pine's Christmas tree lot. Sweet Nectar's mission is to provide comfort and love to families of children who are affected by serious illness, disability or injury through photography and community outreach programs.

Four-year-old Ryder has a rare neurodevelopmental disorder called William's Syndrome and was also born with severe CHD. He has such a strong, amazing spirit and when you get him to smile his little smile, it's just golden :)
