Katie | Loyola Marymount Senior Session

I've known this lovely lady her whole life. We grew up as Lake Havasu river rats and wanna-be June Lake locals - water-skiing with super stylish life jackets, going on early morning hikes, and cooking pizza on the bbq.

Now Katie is all grown up and headed to UCLA's dental school! I'm so incredibly proud of her, even if she did sell out to UCLA... ahem, GO TROJANS!

This weekend Katie is with my family and our very best friends, the Greenbergs (hey hey mallory, kim, howie, and brandon!) at June Lake and I think I'm having a severe case of #fomo. So, blogging pretty pictures it is!

Katie + Zack | Oak Glen Woodsy Maternity Session

I can't believe it's been one year since this fun woodsy maternity session in Oak Glen! Katie just invited me to little Rowan's first birthday party, and it reminded me of their sweet maternity photos, how quickly this year has gone by, and how this lady is such an incredible mother! As an Orange County and Inland Empire maternity photographer, getting to photograph such special milestones in peoples lives so they can look back on them year over year makes my heart so happy :)

Katie and I have been friends since Junior High, so when she asked me to shoot her maternity session for her first little one, I was over the moon! It was such an honor and gosh, Katie and Zack are just such great people.

They put together a woodland themed nursery for their little guy, so of course we had to find a woodsy location for their session! Oak Glen's Wildlands Conservancy was the perfect spot.

Isla | Monrovia Baby Photo Session

Oh my, in-home sessions and pretty golden light outdoor sessions are two of my favorite things - and this shoot had both! Isla is the sister of sweet Emilia and they are "so hopelessly in love with each other," as their amazing mother, Christina, says. It's been so incredible to photograph Christina's maternity sessions for both of these girlies, and now get to watch them grow up!

Brand Love | Plant & Plow and Haute Hope

Oh my, there are some happy, gushy, this-is-the-greatest-gift-ever feelings going on over here.

As many of you know, I'm getting married in 50 days!!! Yes, 50 days folks. Not like I'm counting or anything, but when Kevin and I chose our date, 364 days of engagement seemed liked it would take FOREVER. And it kind of has felt that way at times. But now, I'm praying I can slow down just a tad and savor every moment of this sweet engagement before our big day.

When I arrived home from work today, this awesome surprise was on my doorstep with a note that read,

“I am so excited and honored to be able to create your wedding video! Each item in this box has been uniquely picked out for you in this wedding planning season. Eat this yummy chocolate, take time to write down all of the special moments, and wear this necklace to remind yourself daily that love is what started it all. Enjoy this season and have FUN with one another. You’re only engaged once. I’ll see you on your wedding day! <3 Megs”

Megs, you are just the sweetest. Thank you for my amazing gift from Haute Hope! Your timing was perfect, and I can't wait to see you on our wedding day, either! Emilia | 1 Year Photo Session in Sierra Madre

This little love. I photographed her when she was in her momma's belly, when she was 2 months old, and now she's 1. I have such a bond with her and I LOVE HER SO MUCH.

I love that her mom loves my style of natural, organic, beautiful imagery that captures real life in a beautiful way. Emilia was having quite a day at this shoot. She had a hard time walking on the dirt, didn't like the bugs, and just wasn't her regular smiley self. And yet... we were able to capture some beautiful, REAL images of her. And her mom, Christina, was in love.

Little toddler photos don't always have to be smiling right at the camera. In fact, I think it's better that they're not - because those are the shots of them that will remind you of what they were like in all the little in between moments.
