The Griffiths | Inland Empire Christmas Photo Session

I am so utterly in love with these photos. I literally can't pull my eyes away from them and these pretty pops of red have certainly got me in the Christmas spirit. I love when clients incorporate the colors of the seasons into their outfits for their photo sessions, and the Griffiths certainly hit perfection in this category. I loved their mix of red with various patterns and textures, and their little girl's tights with little sparkly shoes... I die. She looked like an adorable, sassy little doll <3 :)

For their Christmas photo session, we picked a woodsy park in the Inland Empire with lots of gorgeous natural light, and it was perfect.

When Erin and Jon saw their photos for the first time they said, "Oh. My Gosh!!!! We are dying over here Kristen!!! Absolutely incredible!!! Our hearts are so happy! You captured our sweet baby girl & us so amazingly! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!"

This is exactly why I am a lifestyle family photographer. I LOVE to create experiences that make families fall in love with each other all over again. It reminds you that there truly are some beautiful, lovely things in this world that are worth fighting for <3

I'm now booking full experience sessions for 2017!

Cora | Orange County Baby Photographer

This was such a special weekend.

I got to meet sweet little Cora, and watch one of my best friends in her new role as mother. She was so caring and adoring and just made this hard motherhood thing look so natural. She's completely changed her diet for her baby's allergies, is bravely tackling sleep training, changes diapers, dresses her in cute outfits, gives her lots of cuddles, reads everything she can about how to keep her baby girl happy and healthy, gets up multiple times a night to feed, works a full-time job, loves her husband deeply, and the list goes on.

And yet, at times, those thoughts of, "Am I even doing this thing right?" still creep in. I hope you know that I think you're AMAZING, Tara, and that when you look at this photo you can be reminded of just how great a mother, wife, daughter and friend you really are! xoxo

The Clawsons | Orange County Family Photographer

The leaves had started to turn, the air was cooler, we wore boots after the shoot and it made me oh so happy. Tara and I have been friends since college, traveled through Italy together, were maids of honor in each others weddings, and now she has her own little daughter! And technically... Cora's first wedding was my wedding, as she was in her momma's belly :)

It was so special to pick out the outfits for the shoot together, drive around to find the perfect spot and enjoy our time together with that glowy light. I hope you enjoy your photos, Tara, and can't wait to see which ones you choose for your Christmas cards! xoxo

Isla | Monrovia Baby Photo Session

Oh my, in-home sessions and pretty golden light outdoor sessions are two of my favorite things - and this shoot had both! Isla is the sister of sweet Emilia and they are "so hopelessly in love with each other," as their amazing mother, Christina, says. It's been so incredible to photograph Christina's maternity sessions for both of these girlies, and now get to watch them grow up!

Get ready for lots of "oohs" and "awees" for this one!

Emilia | 1 Year Photo Session in Sierra Madre

This little love. I photographed her when she was in her momma's belly, when she was 2 months old, and now she's 1. I have such a bond with her and I LOVE HER SO MUCH.

I love that her mom loves my style of natural, organic, beautiful imagery that captures real life in a beautiful way. Emilia was having quite a day at this shoot. She had a hard time walking on the dirt, didn't like the bugs, and just wasn't her regular smiley self. And yet... we were able to capture some beautiful, REAL images of her. And her mom, Christina, was in love.

Little toddler photos don't always have to be smiling right at the camera. In fact, I think it's better that they're not - because those are the shots of them that will remind you of what they were like in all the little in between moments.
